a) KidZania Malaysia, Damansara

Welcome to KidZania Kuala Lumpur (Mutiara Damansara), where children may live

Traditional Malaysian agrarian practises are depicted in the botanical gardens in a lovely, natural setting. The botanical gardens include a variety of parks and gardens. d) Kelip - Kelip (Fireflies Park) Kampung Kuantan, Kuala Selangor

Fireflies are well recognised in Kampung Kuantan Selangor. Many of the firefly nests

can only be found here. Furthermore, fireflies are a type of insect that belongs to the

beetle family. The 'Pteroptyx tener' species is the most common in Kampung Kuantan. The firefly's distinguishing feature is its tail, which produces light blinking. What

distinguishes fireflies from other insects is the insect's simultaneous blinking of three

lights every second. Kampung Kuantan is a small village and situated about 9km from

Kuala Selangor. Kampung Kuantan Fireflies Park are open daily from 7.30 pm - 10.30

pm. 

e) Sekinchan Paddy Field, Sabak Bernam

Sekinchan is well-known for its excellent rice yields and mechanised agricultural

practises. There are many rice mill industries in Sekinchan, one of which being PLS

Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd, which is open for visitors. Inside the plant, there is a rice market and a Paddy Gallery. There are fascinating activity of eel-fishing with the huge paddy fields encompassing practically the entire terrain of Sekinchan. When the paddy fields are harvested, the water level drops, making this the ideal time for eel fishing. During the paddy harvesting season, eel fishing is a popular pastime among Sekinchan

residents. 

f) Kuala Selangor Nature Park

Kuala Selangor Nature Park (Taman Alam Kuala Selangor) is a haven for a diverse

range of flora and wildlife. There is a 201-hectare wide Tropical Rainforest and the

balance is Swamp Forest on a total area of 296 hectares, which is divided into two main

regions. As part of the Selangor River estuary, the park is home to a variety of large bird species, including milky storks and herons, as well as primates, including silver leaf

monkeys and long-tailed macaques. There are also over 150 bird species in the area, with an estimated 100,000 wading birds from 30 different species passing through on

their annual migration. Bird watching is one of the more intriguing activities in Kuala

Selangor Nature Park.

5) Waterfalls & River Activities in Selangor

a) Waterfalls @ Kanching Eco Forest Park

Kanching Eco Forest Park is known for having the most waterfalls in Selangor, with

seven tiers. Some waterfalls are little but forceful, while others are delicate and graceful, falling, and cascading gloriously. Visitors will be met by natural greenery with a magnificent grass and a quiet stream covered with stones where children and adults

b) Sungai Congkak Park & Resort

Sungai Congkak is a renowned recreational forest in Selangor's Hulu Langat district. Camping, picnicking, BBQs, and bathing in the clear cool water of natural river pools

and rapids under the tall tropical rainforest trees are among the activities and facilities

available here. Although there are no waterfalls in the Sungai Congkak Recreational

Forest, the river pools are wide and shallow in certain places, making them ideal for a

dip or swim. Overnight stays are also available in the chalets. For more information you

c) Sungai Chiling, Kuala Kubu Bharu

Sungai Chiling is 3 kilometres from Kuala Kubu Bharu. The Chiling Waterfalls, like the

Gabai Waterfalls, are located within Taman Warisan Negeri Selangor (Selangor State

Park). An delightful jungle hike takes guests through streams and rivers, past unique

species such as wild orchids and bamboo, before arriving at the signature 80-meter

waterfall overlooking a tranquil lagoon. The waterfalls and river are also home to the

Mahseer Fish Sanctuary, which is overseen by the Selangor Fisheries and Forestry

Departments. Today, the area has become an important habitat and natural breeding

ground for the fish that migrate from the river's headwaters to the main waterfall area. 

d) Sungai Tekala

Sungai Tekala is near the Semenyih Dam in the Hulu Langat region. It is part of the

Sungai Lalang Forest Reserve, which is part of the State Park Forest, or Taman

Warisan Negeri Selangor. This unspoiled lowland dipterocarp forest is a popular spot for locals to picnic by a gorgeous river and swim in its crystal clear water, as well as stroll through the natural rain forest. This park provides limited amenities, such as rest huts placed near the steps leading to the waterfalls. Viewing the flowing waterfalls and

hiking on the park's one trail are among the activities and facilities available here.

e) Sungai Pertak

The Sungai Pertak River flows through an Orang Asli community and into the Sungai

Selangor Dam. A favourite weekend and family fishing and camping destination for

visitors from Kuala Lumpur, 4WD enthusiasts and dirt bikers also blast down the several paths that span this river. The river flows through deep pools with tiny waterfalls in intervals, with the main segment near the settlement. The river also serves as a starting point for climbers to Bukit Kutu, an abandoned colonial hill station perched atop a 1000- meter-high mountain summit. This riverside tourist site may be reached by taking the main road to Kampung Pertak and then following a dirt road all the way to the end. 

6) Zoo / Mini Zoo / Petting Zoo

a) Zoo Negara

Zoo Negara (National Zoo) is Malaysia's largest zoo, spanning 44 hectares (110 acres)

in Ulu Klang, Gombak District, Selangor. Zoo Negara houses about 5,137 specimens

representing 476 different species of mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and fish. There are numerous displays to enjoy, which are spaciously situated around an ideal

lake with free wandering storks, pelicans, egrets, ibises, and swans inside a wonderfully

landscaped setting populated by mature trees. Don't forget about the Animal Feeding

b) Farm In The City, Seri Kembangan. 

A Nature and Animals Farm In The City (FITC) is a concept that blends elements of wildlife and nature in a conservation park-like setting. FITC intends to become a tourism hub in the state by providing an instructive and fascinating look at the lifestyle and scenery of a Malaysian town, farm, and fruit orchard, complete with natural vegetation and fauna. FITC encourages visitors to engage with the animals and plant life in a relaxed yet authentic setting. FITC also places a high value on educating tourists about the various aspects of farm and animal life as well as wildlife conservation and preservation. Weekday hours are from 10.00 am - 6.00 pm, while weekend hours are from 9.30 am - 6.00 pm and close every Tuesday. 

c) G2G Animal Garden, MAEPS Serdang G2G Animal Farm is located in Malaysia Agro Expo Park in Serdang (MAEPS). G2G Animal Garden is a pet zoo excellent for animal enthusiasts, families, and anyone who want to engage with animals. Visit the G2G Animal Garden pet zoo with your family. Feeding and caressing animals allows you to become closer to nature and animals. Among the animal stations are the Cat House, Bird Cage, Animal Therapy House, Rabbit Park, Reptile House, Pigeon House, Tortoise Park, and Village Pets. Weekday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., while weekends and public holidays are 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

d) Sunway Lagoon Wildlife Park

Wildlife Park @ Sunway Lagoon is an interactive and educational zoo with unusual, small, and friendly birds, reptiles, and mammals. The zoo's interactive idea enables

visitors to not only observe and learn about the animals, but also to get up close and

personal with them by touching them. The fully interactive zoo attraction offers a variety of educational and interesting activities for the entire family, from a journey of learning through their unique Wildlife Encounters to being entertained by the talented animal in the Wildlife Theatre and feeding the animals at the Pet Village. 

e) Aviary 'N' Bunny Park @ National Botanical Garden Shah Alam Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam's Aviary & Bunny Park is a petting small zoo for children. Pets Education (PE) is also provided for youngsters to learn about petting zoos and animal affections. Children will conserve and appreciate the nature of the animal/pet.
